Wheelbuild: Phil Wood to Araya CTL-385

This classic style track wheelset is built for Mandra Widya, one of the mastermind behind Sumvelo, the first Indonesian webshop for fixed gear and single gear parts and accessories.

Hubs are Phil Wood track hubset, double sided fixed, with 120mm spacing on the rear. Rims are new old stock low profile non machined Araya CTL-385 with 32 spoke holes. Spokes are Richman double butted, 290mm on the rear, and 296mm on front, laced 3-cross to ensure strength while maintaining classic styling. 

The theme is all-black build, to make the rim's signature brown colour stands out. The brown colour is a result of Araya's hard anodizing process. Black brass nipples are selected to emphasize rim's chromed eyelets.

These black classic beauties will be rolling underneath Mandra's red Cervelo T1. Black wheels on red frame, you can never go wrong!
